Young Business Leader - B-LEAD 2025 is a Leadership-focused simulated Management Trainee competition, organized by Business & English Club - BEC in collaboration with the Foreign Trade University at HCMC Campus and endorsed by renowned MNCs and well-established corporations.
B-LEAD 2025 returns with the theme SHIFTNARIO – a world of unpredictable shifts. With every passing second, this world spins forward with new challenges, serving as a launchpad for pioneers or a barrier for those who fall behind. Amidst the turbulence of the R.U.P.T. era, B-LEAD 2025 embraces the concept of Agile Leadership - leaders who not only adapt to change but also seize opportunities and take ownership of their transformation, step by step, in sync with the times!
B-LEAD 2025 is a competition that simulates the Management Trainee recruitment process of leading corporations, with a strong emphasis on assessing comprehensive leadership skills through the A.S.K. framework.
The competition is jointly organized by the Business & English Club (BEC) and Foreign Trade University – Campus II in Ho Chi Minh City. Now in its third season,
B-LEAD 2025 introduces a brand-new format and an expanded scope, covering

The competition promises to deliver high-quality, practical experiences and serve as a solid launchpad for future well-rounded leaders.
ROUND 1: BREAK THE INERTIA
(28/03/2025 - 21/05/2025)
Candidates complete their application by submitting personal information and a CV while selecting one of five fields: Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, or HR. Upon submission, they will take an Online Test as instructed by the Organizing Committee.
Online Aptitude Test & CV Scanning (28/04 - 04/05)
Top 100 candidates will proceed to a 1:1 interview with Human Resource Endorsers, where they will be assessed on their knowledge, skills, and professional attitude.
Initial Interview (10/05 - 13/05)
Top 60 candidates will undergo a 1:1 interview with Expertise Endorsers. Each candidate will independently solve a Functional Case, present their approach, and respond to evaluative questions from the Interviewer.
Case Interview (19/05 - 21/05)
ROUND 2: ENTER THE CHAOS

Top 40 candidates will participate in industry-specific training led by experienced professionals to prepare for the team-based Assessment Center round.

Assessment Camp to evaluate candidates' teamwork, communication and leadership skills. Select the Top 8 best contestants to enter Round 3.
Career Glory Night
Career Glory Night is a discussion around one main topic combined with meetings between candidates and businesses.
ROUND 3: CONQUER THE SHIFT

Top 8 finalists will compete in the B-LEAD 2025 Grand Finale, striving for the championship title.

PART 1 - PRESENTATION & PITCHING
Candidates apply problem-solving skills to propose solutions for the problem posed in the Business Case.
PART 2 - GAMIFIED BUSINESS TASK - RUSH HOUR
Inspired by the competitive point-based format, two teams will solve a business case and compete to answer questions to accumulate points.
PART 3 - LEADERSHIP DEBATE
Top 3 candidates participate in a debate on a statement/issue related to Leadership in English.
